Wordpress: release 2.6.2 a base di bugfix
Un aggiornamento prettamente legato alla sicurezza della piattaforma: mette una pezza su alcuni punti deboli che metterebbero a rischio l’accesso
Il team di Wordpress ha annunciato qualche giorno fa una nuova versione della piattaforma: si tratta di un rilascio mirato alla sicurezza.
Se il vostro è un blog personale, non è il caso di entrare in eccessivo allarme: le vulnerabilità della precedente versione riguardano più che altro i siti/blog con registrazione pubblica, visto che la falla riguarda la possibilità di sfruttare due punti deboli della piattaforma per generare delle password casuali prevedibili. Per tutti gli altri invece si consiglia di procedere subito con l’aggiornamento.
Si attendono dettagli più precisi su questo tipo di attacco, ma il team di sviluppo lo descrive come difficile da realizzare.
Il fatto che l’allarme sia basso non dovrebbe però farci prendere sottogamba la questione: aggiornare le installazioni - soprattutto quando vengono distribuite per correggere errori o vulnerabilità - è sempre cosa buona e giusta.
Wordpress 2.6.2 è già disponibile in italiano, grazie al team di Wordpress Italy.
