Music Beta by Google: arriva Magnifier, con altra musica gratis
Continua la graduale espansione del locker musicale di Google, con il lancio di un blog e nuove “iniezioni” di musica gratis
Si chiama Magnifier (“lente d’ingrandimento”) ed è una sorta di blog musicale: è un estensione di quel Music Beta by Google che rappresenta l’offerta di musica in streaming - e di locker per file musicali - di Mountain View.
Attivo dall‘11 agosto anche se non particolarmente promosso o evidenziato da Google stesso (ma ora segnalato ai fortunati che già possono collegarsi al proprio locker) è sia un modo per conoscere nuova musica grazie a brevi post con segnalazioni e recensioni, che per arricchire la propria collezione con tracce aggiungibili gratis al proprio account. Con un solo clic ci si può aggiudicare la “Song of the day” oppure una intera raccolta di brani gratuiti di questo o quel genere. Nella sezione “Antenna” invece viene presentato l’artista della settimana, di cui si offrono generalmente due o tre brani. Con un secondo clic sullo stesso pulsante (che nel frattempo si è trasformato in un “Listen”) si passa dall’aggiunta all’ascolto immediato dei pezzi.
Insomma niente di rivoluzionario ma sicuramente un bonus gradevole e ben fatto, che se non altro caratterizza in maniera ancor più netta il servizio rispetto all’iCloud di Apple e alla “scatola vuota” di Amazon, che sembra restare al palo…
