Apple: è morto Steve Jobs
Scompare a cinquantasei anni una delle figure che ha rivoluzionato il mondo della tecnologia e reso Apple uno dei marchi più conosciuti e amati
Il cofondatore ed ex amministratore delegato di Apple è morto questa notte. Lo comunica l’azienda di Cupertino che gli ha dedicato la homepage del suo sito web che riporta una foto di alcuni anni fa, le date di nascita e della scomparsa, 1955-2011 e il link a un breve messaggio.
Jobs era da anni alle prese con gravi problemi di salute: nel 2004 aveva reso noto di avere un tumore al pancreas e nel 2009 si era sottoposto a un trapianto di fegato. All’inizio di quest’anno Jobs aveva comunicato di doversi assentare per motivi di salute e alla fine di agosto aveva passato formalmente le redini a Tim Cook, suo braccio destro che all’atto pratico gestiva da tempo l’azienda.
Nel corso della giornata pubblicheremo altri articoli e aggiornamenti. Intanto riportiamo una traduzione del messaggio con cui Apple ha scelto di salutare il suo creatore e salvatore.
“Apple ha perso un visionario e un genio creativo, e il mondo una persona stupefacente.
Coloro tra noi che hanno avuto la fortuna di conoscere e lavorare con Steve hanno perso un caro amico e una guida ispiratrice. Steve ci lascia un’azienda che solo lui potrebbe aver costruito, e il suo spirito rimarrà per sempre come fondamenta di Apple.”
Il messaggio termina segnalando un indirizzo, rememberingsteve@apple.com a cui è possibile scrivere per inviare pensieri, ricordi e condoglianze.

Others use their wings to flash at and startle predators. Some play dead.
