Progetti di banda larghissima cittadina: si riparte (forse)
L’Italia prova a darsi fibra ottica nelle case con il nuovo progetto Metroweb, appena annunciato. Non sarà un piano nazionale, ma mirato in alcune città, soprattutto del Centro-Nord e della Lombardia
La buona notizia è che c’è una nuova, fresca idea di progetto per estendere la fibra ottica nelle case (banda larghissima a 100 Megabit). E sarebbe anche ora, visto che è tanto che non se ne parla.
L’obiettivo, annunciato, è replicare in altre città l’esperienza milanese di Metroweb. Questa società (partecipata dal fondo F2i e da Fastweb, tra gli altri) diventerebbe una holding di progetti, uno per ogni città italiana dove intenda portare la fibra. I soldi? Metroweb li chiederà al mercato: alle banche ma anche alla Cassa depositi e prestiti (cioè fondi pubblici), che già si è detta interessata. Telecom Italia si è offerta di partecipare alle sperimentazioni, ma non agli investimenti.
Come si vede, il problema è che è ancora tutto nell’aria. Si sa solo, con voci di corridoio, che Metroweb intende coprire città del centro-nord (lombarde, soprattutto), dove c’è richiesta di mercato. Ci vorranno anni, se va bene, e comunque non è quel piano nazionale governativo che voleva creare una copertura più capillare. Piano però che sembra destinato a fallire, ormai: Telecom Italia ha tolto il suo supporto (necessario, visto che è proprietaria della rete).
E’ questa la brutta notizia degli ultimi giorni. Il tutto, mentre ancora non arriva l’offerta in fibra ottica di Telecom, annunciata già molti mesi fa: l’operatore attende che si chiariscano le regole da applicare sulla nuova rete. Insomma, agli italiani tocca pazientare ancora molto per vedere diffuse le offerte a 100 Megabit. Per ora ci sono solo quelle di Fastweb, che coprono circa 2 milioni di utenti.

Non ci sono soldi! giustamente Tremonti è più preoccupato per l'alfabetizzazione informatica e per la scuola piuttosto che per questa rete a 100 Mbit (che non sono 13 MegaByte!!!!) che poi serve solamente una minoranza di persone.
Portare a 100 Mbit le reti di chi deve solo controllare la posta una volta al giorno (più del 50% degli utenti internet nel mondo, non solo in Italia!!) passa giustamente in secondo piano.
Per una buona percentuale poi, la rete ad alta velocità serve per scaricare film e di questi la fanno da padrone i film porno!!
Cioè in un momento di crisi, Tremonti dovrebbe preoccuparsi di una rete che serve a "pompare gratis film porno con emule da parte di minorenni benestanti"??? ma diciamo la verità questa cosa ha rotto le p.....

capisco che tu internet lo interpreti solo in "film porno" e posta elettronica..ma persone che su internet ci lavorano fare collegamenti su serve esteri intasati e sopratutto in ore calde significa non riuscire neanche a fare una videoconferenza in maniera decente ed a volte non riuscire a connettersi proprio..cosa gravissima al giorno d'oggi dove quasi tutto ruota su internet..
se voi internet lo usate solo per vedere filmini porno o scaricare su internet musica da emule allora vi basta una semplice chiavetta da due soldi..ma ci sono persone che ci lavorano su internet AGGIORNATEVI.

Extending the optical network is a great thing and it is almost like if you build it they will come. The disturbing thing though is that as the article mentions it's up in the air still since the national government is not involved. Hopefully they will eventually understand and join the effort in the new future.

100 MB is insane internet speeds. Here in the US or our broadband services are pretty fast, but we have to pay a premium. Especially here in Houston.
